The Boeing 707 was instrumental in helping revolutionize jet travel throughout the world. The first model of Boeing's new jetliner, the 707-120, took to the skies on the 20th of December, 1957. Many variants of the 707 preceeded this flight, including the very successful -320B and C models which included a longer fuselage, bigger wings and more powerful engines. A total of 1,010 copies of the 707 were manufactured and delivered.
